Xbox crack down on Unlicensed Controllers
If you use 3rd Party controllers, these changes may affect you starting next month.
Microsoft will no longer be allowing unauthorized 3rd party accessories on Xbox consoles on December 11, 2023. That includes Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. Currently, when plugging in an unauthorized 3rd party device you will get a message that says the following:
This sucks for anyone rocking unauthorized 3rd party controllers, but on the bright side, it does get rid of a lot of cheating devices. Hopefully, Microsoft will make an effort to get more 3rd party controllers authorized. It is kind of funny (and messed up) that they tell you how to return an unauthorized device when it’s possible that neither of those methods may work, especially if you bought them from a 3rd party seller.
WWE 2K22 servers going offline in 2024
Online support is going away soon..
WWE 2K22 servers are shutting down less than 2 years later. Meanwhile, you can still play the old Call of Duty games from 20 years ago. This continues the scummy trend in gaming, of yearly released sports games dropping online after a few releases, and it’ll never change unless players speak out. What makes it more messed up is it’s not even been 2 years, and for 2K's other sports games, there are people who put money into these online modes, only for it to be gone in 2 years. They even have the audacity to tell you to upgrade to WWE 2K23 when they know dang well that those servers will also be turned off in a year and the cycle continues. The official WWE Games Twitter page said the following:
