Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is Digital Only on Switch
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 will not come with a cartridge.
I got bad news for those planning to buy Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. Buying the game physically will get you a digital code instead of a cartridge. This is a letdown, as the first game came to cartridge, and even had two editions on the platform (DLC edition and Standard edition). All other consoles on the other hand are still getting a physical disc.
The release date has also seen a small change as it’s now scheduled to be released on November 7th instead of November 3rd for digital purchases. Physical copies on the other hand will not be available at retail until December 1st.
Our first look at Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch
It surprisingly doesn’t look bad like we were expecting!
When Hogwarts Legacy was announced for Nintendo Switch a lot of people were skeptical. Many believe it may even get canceled. Well, Nintendo Switch users you’ll be happy to hear that it is coming out after all and it looks solid. The pictures you can see below come from the Nintendo Store and it's our first official look at the game on Nintendo Switch.
It looks pretty good for the hardware, now all we have to worry about is how it will run. It’s going to target 30 fps, but will it be a stable 30 fps or will it have issues like other ports to Nintendo Switch such as Mortal Kombat 1 which was released in a disastrous state on the Nintendo Switch earlier this year? There are also quite a few loading times semi-hidden in the castle on Hogwarts Legacy, where you could run into doors that you had to wait for before going through them. How will the Nintendo Switch version handle this? Only time will tell, but it’s a good sign that the game visually looks as good as it does.
Alan Wake 2 PC Requirements revealed
The PC requirements are out and it’s not looking too good…
Alan Wake 2 is launching soon and the developer Remedy has released a chart that showcases the recommended hardware requirements for each hardware tier and performance target. That sounds good and all but for some reason FSR and DLSS (upscaling technologies) were thrown into the mix which has many scratching their heads of why.
Normally you would leave those options up to individual players to decide if they want to sacrifice resolution for performance and the recommended PC requirements charts would show what to expect based on different hardware. Well, they threw normalcy out the window and introduced FSR and DLSS into the mix along with different upscaling quality levels. As a result, we don’t know exactly what performance you should expect on each GPU yet but what we do know is Alan Wake 2 could be a game that takes a heck of a lot of GPU power to run without upscaling at even 1080p.
That’s not the only bad news making the rounds for PC players, a developer responded to questions asking why one of AMD’s most popular graphics cards, the RX 5700 XT was not included in the chart. The answer might not be obvious but it turns out it was simply not supported. The culprit is the lack of mesh shaders which is why Nvidia’s GTX 1060 generation is not supported either. Possibly due to the backlash the comments garnered, the developer did delete their comments.
Spider- Man 2 Disc Installation Issues
Some are reporting on not being able to install their Spider-Man 2 Disc.
It seems impossible for games to release in a perfect state nowadays and Insomniacs Spider-Man 2 is no exception. According to many users on Reddit, some physical discs won’t install. They say the installation stops at around 36 percent. As of today there still seems to be no solution to this besides getting a new copy or trying again and getting lucky.
I can’t imagine buying a $70+ game and it not being installable. I’m not even sure what Sony could do about this. It’s kind of bizarre that neither Insomniac nor Sony has said anything yet. If anything is said we’ll be sure to stay in the loop and update you!
