Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Editions Revealed and Confirmed New Characters So Far! Cover

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl might have released to average reviews back in 2021 but that hasn't stopped Ludosity and Fair Play Labs from keeping this new franchise alive. Recently in a surprising announcement, it has been revealed a new entry in this Nick-flavored smash brawler, and here are all the edition details!

• The physical Base Edition cost $49.99 with digital pre-orders available later this fall.
• Deluxe Edition cost $69.99 and is a Digital Only edition that includes the Base Edition plus Season Pass.
• Ultimate Edition cost $79.99 and is also a Digital Only edition that includes the Deluxe Edition plus 1 exclusive bonus costume for each character.
• The season pass is priced at $24.99 and includes 4 Characters + Costumes released throughout 2024 and a premium SpongeBob costume available at launch.

Some great new fighters have also already been confirmed. A lot of these are characters I was surprised didn't appear in the first game, such as Jimmy Neutron which during its span had three seasons, a movie, and three tie-in specials with The Fairly OddParents. Speaking of that series, hopefully, they get some proper representation in this sequel.

It was also a bit weird how we had four TMNT characters but not all four turtles in the first game, so I'm happy to see the other two turtles this time. I'm also happy to see Vlad Plasmius from Danny Phantom and with so many great IPs in the Nickelodeon library, you wouldn't be surprised to see some characters passed over for other shows. Fingers crossed all of the show's main characters and antagonists make an appearance.

Here's a list of all the confirmed new characters so far!

• Squidward from "SpongeBob SquarePants"
• Raphael from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"
• Donatello from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"
• Jimmy Neutron from "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius"
• Vlad Plasmius from "Danny Phantom"
• El Tigre from "El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera"

The campaign in the first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was as barebones a mode as I've ever seen. Although the trailer does seem to give the impression the new campaign will be more promising, I'm not holding my breath for it in the sequel. I have to say I'm very discouraged by the pricing of the base game and editions available. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 just doesn't seem worth the fifty-dollar price tag for those like me who already own the first game in the series.

I was hopeful they might go for a free-to-play model this go around since the first games multiplayer died off fairly quickly. The price is almost insulting at this point when other Nickelodeon titles such as SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake and Rehydrated both released at cheaper price points ($39.99) and were full-fledged games.
